A piano is a complex machine. With literally thousands of working parts, it’s really amazing pianos work as well as they do.

Occasionally parts of the machinery stop working properly. When this happens, the piano’s mechanical systems can be put “right” again. Whether the repair is a minor adjustment, replacing a few small parts, or more substantial repairs, I can quickly diagnose the problem, and offer a number of strategies on how to proceed with the repairs.

According to the piano’s condition and the client’s needs, the repair can be to simply “just get it running” again, or I can target improved overall function.

Before starting the repair, I quote how much time it will take to fix.

Repair fees are separate, and in addition to my tuning fee. Repairs are billed at $100/hr.
